In Genesis, in the Old Testament of the Bible, Gomorrah is one of the two cities (the other being Sodom) destroyed by God, because of the bad morals of their inhabitants.
It is therefore no coincidence that the terrible child of French street art, Gomor, a chose this pseudonym to exercise his talent.
Originally from Paris, the artist, born in 1992, began very young to tag the facades of buildings in his neighborhood with an aerosol spray. Very quickly, his technique is perfected and evolves towards new mediums offering new perspectives to his art in full development.
As the masters of pop-art, Andy Warhol et Roy Lichtenstein, were able to do before him, the young graffiti artist then immersed himself in world of comics that he loves so much. From 2015, he uses recurring characters from pop culture in his paintings: Wonder Woman, Superman, Picsou a little too close to his money…
Gomor's art is still expressed in many media. Although most of the works sold in galleries are acrylics on canvas, the painter sometimes returns to his first love and treats us to his characters on everyday objects: skateboards changed for the occasion into triptychs, mailboxes...
